Tesla be­comes 12th most valu­able listed US firm

Tesla stock con­tin­ued to surge with the elec­tric car com­pany be­com­ing the 12th most valu­able listed firm in af­ter­noon trade on Wall Street. Shares traded as high as $1,766 (£1,400), valu­ing the busi­ness at $328bn, plac­ing it just be­low Tai­wan Semi­con­duc­tor Man­u­fac­tur­ing and above Proc­ter & Gam­ble, be­fore they re­versed gains in late trade.
