Pepsi fizzes as Amer­i­cans stock up in lock­down

Pepsi has re­ported a stronger-thanex­pected spring as home­bound con­sumers look­ing for com­fort stocked up on snack foods. The pan­demic drove double-digit sales growth for brands like Tos­ti­tos, Fri­tos and Chee­tos. How­ever, bev­er­age sales were one area of weak­ness, as both in-restau­rant and grab-and-go gas sta­tion sales stalled.
