Direct Line acquires start-up Brolly
Direct Line has struck a deal to buy Brolly, a London-based insurance start-up, for an undisclosed price. It hopes the acquisition, due to complete before October, will accelerate its move into digital insurance. Launched in 2016, Brolly has raised $2.1m (£1.7m) from private investors. It collates users’ various insurance policies into a single app and offers home contents cover.
