Heineken takes €550m write­down as sales slide

Heineken said that its busi­ness has been sig­nif­i­cantly af­fected by the pan­demic in the first half of the year with rev­enue, vol­umes and prof­its all slump­ing. The Dutch brewer, which makes brands such as Am­s­tel and Moretti, slashed the value of its as­sets by €550m (£436m) and ex­pects to swing to a net loss of about €300m in the sec­ond quar­ter.
