Lock­down book de­mand helps lift Blooms­bury

Blooms­bury Pub­lish­ing re­vealed an 18pc rise in sales to £49.5m in the four months to the end of June, ahead of ex­pec­ta­tions. The Harry Pot­ter pub­lisher said lock­down helped digital sales surge by over 60pc. UK rev­enues rose by 16pc and US rev­enues grew by 38pc against the same pe­riod last year. How­ever, its out­look for the rest of the year re­mains “un­cer­tain”.
