Archer: I was treated like crim­i­nal over rule-breach

Jofra Archer will re­turn to full prac­tice today af­ter pass­ing a sec­ond Covid-19 test and break­ing his si­lence on his pun­ish­ment for breach­ing England’s biose­cure bub­ble.

Archer, who will add the op­tion of ex­tra pace as England con­tem­plate their at­tack for the third Test against West Indies on Fri­day, im­plied that he had been treated like a crim­i­nal for re­turn­ing home rather than trav­el­ling from Southamp­ton to the team ho­tel be­tween the first and sec­ond Tests.

The bowler also said that he had been racially abused on In­sta­gram in the af­ter­math and had re­ported the com­ments to the England and Wales Cricket Board. He added
