AT&T rev­enues slump 9pc af­ter pan­demic hit

AT&T, the US’s sec­ond largest telecoms com­pany, has said 338,000 reg­u­lar mo­bile phone sub­scribers stopped pay­ing for their ser­vice dur­ing the pan­demic. It came as the firm, which also owns HBO, re­ported a 9pc slump in sec­ond-quar­ter rev­enue to $41bn (£32bn), with its op­er­at­ing in­come more than halv­ing to $3.5bn.
