Victory in this game for the West Indies would seal back-to-back Test series victories over England for the first time since they recorded seven in a row between 1976 and 1990; West Indies claimed a 2-1 home victory 18 months ago in the Caribbean. West Indies have not enjoyed a Test series victory on the road against England since 1988 – when they won a six-match series 4-0. They are also searching for their first victory at Old Trafford since that same year. England have not lost a home Test series since 2014 and are on an 11-series unbeaten run during that time.
