The Ex­eter Chiefs board will meet to­mor­row to dis­cuss a po­ten­tial re­brand­ing that would in­volve drop­ping their Amer­i­can In­dian badge and mas­cot. An Ex­eter sup­port­ers’ pe­ti­tion with more than 3,500 sig­na­tures is call­ing for an end to the Sandy Park club’s “harm­ful im­agery and brand­ing”. Two more pe­ti­tions have been launched ar­gu­ing against any change, how­ever.


Qatar, the host of the 2022 foot­ball World Cup, has an­nounced that it would also like to stage the Olympics, pos­si­bly in 2032. The Gulf state’s Olympic com­mit­tee has sub­mit­ted a re­quest to the In­ter­na­tional Olympic Com­mit­tee to join the phase of “con­tin­u­ous di­a­logue” about host­ing a fu­ture Games. The Olympics have never been hosted in the Mid­dle East.


Grigor Dim­itrov has re­vealed that he is still feel­ing the ill-ef­fects of Covid-19 more than a month af­ter con­tract­ing the virus at No­vak Djokovic’s Adria Tour. The Bul­gar­ian, who played in the Ul­ti­mate Ten­nis Show­down in Nice at the week­end, said: “One day I feel re­ally well but then all of a sud­den I need to com­pletely shut down and take a nap, or just rest.”
