Pak­istan push to host tour in 2022

The chief ex­ec­u­tive of the Pak­istan Cricket Board has called on England to “do the right thing” and tour the coun­try in 2022, fol­low­ing Pak­istan’s de­ci­sion to tour England dur­ing the Covid-19 pan­demic.

Pak­istan’s three-Test se­ries against England be­gins on Wed­nes­day. While the de­ci­sion to tour is not part of a re­cip­ro­cal agree­ment,

Wasim Khan has said he hopes England will visit in 2022.

Khan said: “Have we struck a deal with them right now for them to come? Of course we didn’t. Now is not the time to do that.”

His com­ments fol­low Jason Holder, the West Indies cap­tain, urg­ing England to tour the Caribbean this year.
