Briton hails organised show in racism fight
Lewis Hamilton praised F1 organisers for giving teams an extra 10 minutes on the grid ahead of yesterday’s race so that the drivers could pledge support for global anti-racism (above). Officials had been criticised for a haphazard approach at the past two races, but Hamilton said the gesture enabled them to present a more unified front. “It felt a lot more organised,” Hamilton said. Seven drivers chose not to take the knee, one more than at the first race of the season, as Kevin Magnussen joined the original six.
