Hojbjerg deal edges closer
Jose Mourinho is on the brink of making PierreEmile Hojbjerg (below right) his first summer signing at Tottenham in a £15 million deal from Southampton after progress in talks between the clubs. Spurs have agreed the outline of the package to sign the Danish midfielder, with personal terms a formality. Kyle WalkerPeters, 23, is poised to move the opposite direction in a transfer valued at
£12 million. The deals are being treated separately but talks between the clubs have involved getting both done, with completion expected soon. Hojbjerg, 24, has one year left on his contract at St Mary’s and made it clear he wanted to move to a club playing European football, which Spurs managed by going unbeaten in the final six games of the Premier League season.
