Admiral profits up by a third after fall in crashes

The Daily Telegraph - Business - - Business -

Car insurer admiral was one of the winners from lockdown as a fall in traffic accidents helped boost its profits by almost a third. Sales fell 4pc from a year earlier to £1.7bn after factoring in the £97m cost of offering a £25 “stay at home” rebate to UK motor insurance customers during lockdown. This was more than offset by a fall in claims as drivers clocked up fewer miles.
