Coats Group rev­enues fall sharply in first half

Sew­ing sup­plies maker Coats Group saw prof­its be­fore tax de­cline to just $10.6m in the first half of the year, from $85.5m dur­ing the same pe­riod last year. Rev­enues took a 26pc hit, which the group at­trib­uted to the im­pact of Covid-19. Ra­jiv Sharma, chief ex­ec­u­tive, said he was con­fi­dent Coats will emerge “even stronger and more valu­able”.
