Ham­leys chief ex­ec­u­tive leaves af­ter seven months

Ham­leys boss David Smith is to step down from the world’s best-known toy store af­ter just un­der seven months in the role. The for­mer Deben­hams and Body Shop ex­ec­u­tive has been re­cruited by its new In­dian owner, ac­cord­ing to Sky News. Ham­leys was ac­quired last year by Re­liance In­dus­tries, headed by Mukesh Am­bani, In­dia’s rich­est man.
