Arsenal are to sign Lille central defender Gabriel Magalhaes for £22.6 million. It is understood a five-year deal was agreed with the 22-year-old last night. Gabriel had offers from a number of other clubs, including Napoli and Everton, but the Gunners look to have won the race.
Ronald Koeman has been named Barcelona’s first-team coach after agreeing a two-year deal. The 57-year-old
Dutchman, who spent six years at Barca as a player, will leave his job in charge of Holland’s national team to replace Quique Setien following his departure on Monday. Koeman, who had previously been in charge of Southampton and Everton, said: “Everyone knows Barca is my dream club.”
Sheffield United have signed Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for £18.5million on a four-year deal. The 22-year-old England Under-21 international returns to Bramall Lane where he began his career, having left for Bournemouth in 2017.
