Wi­gan’s Jackson Hastings is among three Su­per League play­ers to have been sanc­tioned by the Rugby Foot­ball League for breach­ing Covid-19 pro­to­cols. Hud­der­s­field’s James Gavet and War­ring­ton’s Ri­ley Dean have also been fined and banned for 14 days from all rugby league-re­lated ac­tiv­ity, in­clud­ing train­ing and games. Hastings, how­ever, will not miss any games as his ban has been back­dated to his breach on Aug 7 and the pe­riod of sus­pen­sion has al­ready elapsed. Mean­while, Hull KR chair­man and owner Neil Hudgell will stand down at the Bet­fred Su­per League club on Dec 1 af­ter 16 years at the helm. He said: “Hull Kingston Rovers has been an all-con­sum­ing jour­ney for me and I have de­cided that now is the right time for change.”
