Australians not taking the knee ‘Education is more important’
Australia will not take the knee in a gesture of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, captain Aaron Finch has confirmed.
“The education around it is more important than the protest,” Finch said. “I have spoken to Eoin [Morgan] and we are not going to do specific gestures like it has happened in the past.”
Today’s Twenty20 international at the Ageas Bowl will be Australia’s first since the killing of George Floyd in the United States triggered a global wave of protests.
