Alex Corbisiero, the former England and British and Irish Lions prop, has revealed that his testicular cancer has spread.
The 32-year-old announced in March that last year he had been diagnosed with the disease.
After surgery and chemotherapy to remove a large swelling, the man who scored for the Lions in their series-clinching win over Australia in 2013, thought the battle was behind him. But he revealed that the cancer had spread and that he is undergoing treatment.
The former Northampton Saint posted on Instagram: “I’m mentally and physically in a good place and staying positive throughout this roller coaster of ups and downs. I am very grateful for all the love and support.”
