Vir­gin Money is win­ner from state bailout of RBS

Vir­gin Money has been awarded £35m from a fund paid for by NatWest to im­prove the bank­ing mar­ket for small and medium-sized busi­nesses. The ca­pa­bil­ity and in­no­va­tion fund was set up as a con­di­tion of the gov­ern­ment bailout of RBS fol­low­ing the 2008 fi­nan­cial crash. Vir­gin Money said it would use the cash to speed up growth.
