Har­ley bites the dust in In­dia af­ter decade try­ing

Mo­tor­bike maker Har­ley-David­son is quit­ting In­dia af­ter fail­ing to make a suc­cess of the mar­ket af­ter a decade. The move will cost $75m (£58m) and 70 jobs. Har­ley has been try­ing to grow be­yond the US where its re­tail sales have stalled. In­dia has proven dif­fi­cult for other auto in­dus­try play­ers in­clud­ing Ford and Gen­eral Mo­tors.
