Saucy goings on behind the office blinds

-

THE Dirty Dusting team are touring again, and this Autumn and will pay a visit to Llandudno in October.

Following a sellout UK tour in 2016, Dirty Dusting returned to the stage in 2017, and the play will be performed at the Venue Cymru on Monday, October 16.

Dirty Dusting tells the story of three cleaning ladies, (who, shall we say, are a little bit past their sell by date) who start up a telephone sex chat line!

Gladys, Elsie and Olive are about to be “put out to pasture” by their overzealous office manager Dave.

Feeling that if they are made redundant they will have little chance of gaining employment elsewhere, so the ladies will have to boost their falling income.

Whilst cleaning the offices, a chance wrong number, with the caller thinking that he has called a sexy chat line number, gives the ladies a great idea.

Why not run a Sex Chat Line?” After all, their age and appearance won’t matter on the telephone and providing they can keep this a secret from their boss….they could be onto a real winner!

The trio lay down their mops and dusters to become The Telephone Belles – a dirty sex chat line that really cleans up!

Needless to say things don’t go entirely according to plan.

The play is written by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood, this production is directed by Leah Bell who injects this hilarious play with a fresh and lively approach coupled with her own unique style. It stars Crissy Rock as Elsie. The actress and comedian from Liverpool is probably best known for her role as Janey York in the hit TV Series Benidorm, her award-winning performance in director Ken Loach’s Ladybird Ladybird and for daring to venture into the jungle for the 11th series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Joining Chrissy on stage is comedienne, actress and the director of this saucy play, Leah Bell who plays the role of Gladys.

Leah, who has worked with Ken Dodd, Norman Wisdom and David Jason, also produces and stars in many pantomimes.

Stage and screen actress Dolores Porretta, as Olive, completes the cleaning threesome, and the play introduces Andy Green as their boss and office manager Dave.

Dirty Dusting is a heart warming feel-good comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles and smiling every time you answer the phone! ● Tickets are priced at £21 and £20 (plus £3 admin fee) and they are available by calling the Box Office on 01492 872000 or you can book online by going to: venuecymru.co.uk.
