- Football: Gwynedd League

BONTNEWYDD missed the chance to close the gap on the Gwynedd League leaders on Saturday as they went down to a 4-3 loss at Holyhead Town.

Bont dropped to fourth place, four points adrift of leaders Bro Goronwy after being overhauled in the standings by Town.

Holyhead went ahead through Asa Thomas after two minutes, before Dale Murphy added a second little after the half hour mark.

Aled Steele and Dan Evans brought Bont back on level terms, before Ian Pleming put the visitors in the lead on 72 minutes. However, further goals from Thomas and Ian Willians ensure Holyhead sealed the points.
