Award just what the doc­tor or­dered

● A doc­tor from Ys­byty Gwynedd has been recog­nised for his excellence in teaching un­der­grad­u­ate med­i­cal stu­dents. Anil Mane, a con­sul­tant in el­derly care at Ys­byty Gwynedd and Ys­byty Eryri in Caernar­fon, re­ceived the Clin­i­cal Teacher of the Year award at this year’s Betsi Cad­wal­adr Univer­sity Health Board Staff Achieve­ment Awards. ● Dr Mane, from Bangor, started his work with the health board two years ago and vol­un­teered to teach the sub­ject of el­derly care to the med­i­cal stu­dents from Cardiff Univer­sity. ● This year the el­derly care con­sul­tant was also handed the ‘Student Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Award’ at the Surgam Cer­e­mony at Cardiff Univer­sity af­ter be­ing recog­nised by the stu­dents he had trained. ● Dr Mane said he was thrilled to re­ceive the award for ‘Clin­i­cal Teacher of the Year’.
