LOST LLAMA BACK HOME

Reunited with owner after straying to holiday park:

-

A LOST llama called Lili has been reunited with her relieved owner after her story appeared in the Herald’s sister paper the Daily Post.

Last week it was reported how Lili had been found wandering around Greenacres holiday park at Morfa Bychan, near Porthmadog, leaving staff mystified as to where the llama had come from.

Alex Saul, Greenacres manager, said the llama had been spotted by the grounds team and that enquiries over where it came from proved fruitless.

The matter was handed over to Sue Williams and her team at Black Rock Llamas, a trekking and display centre just a few hundred yards from the holiday park.

Lili had actually escaped from her home at a nearby farm called Tyddyn Adi, which also has a campsite.

Lili’s owner Wyn Pritchard said: “I had noticed her missing but could not find her as the weather was really bad.

“I was going to check with Sue Williams but then saw the story in the Daily Post about her.”

PC Dewi Evans, of North Wales Police’s rural crime team, who had been trying to find the llama’s owners, said: “We are pleased the lost llama was unharmed.”
