Llanrug’s 6-1 thrash­ing of Lex sees them through to round four

PWLL­HELI and Nantlle Vale will clash in a Herald derby in the last 32 of the na­tional FAW Tro­phy.

Last Satur­day’s round three ties saw Pwll get past Llan­beris 2-1 in ex­tra time, thanks to a Jake Jones dou­ble.

Nantlle yet again showed true grit and de­ter­mi­na­tion to win 4-2 on penal­ties at fel­low Welsh Al­liance Divi­sion One side Green­field after a 2-2 draw.

Rob Daniels and Rhys Wil­liams notched Nantlle’s goals in the game it­self.

Llanrug, the 2014 Tro­phy win­ners, are also through to round four fol­low­ing a 6-1 away thrash­ing of Lex of the Welsh Na­tional League Premier Divi­sion.

Aaron Hughes (3), Si­mon Kay, Luke Phillips and Carl Grif­fith shared the goals for United, who now host Llanfair United of the Mid-Wales League at the next stage.
