It was a family affair as PHD chief executive Daren Rubins brought his wife and nephew to his leaving drinks at Elysian, off Charlotte Street, to mark his departure from the shop after 17 years. Guests included Notonthehighstreet. com’s Ella d’amato; OMD’S Dan Clays; Rubins’ successor at PHD, Verica Djurdjevic; the agency’s founder David Pattison; and The Guardian’s Nick Hewat. The hostess with the mostest was Rubins’ former PA Cheryl Allen, who organised the bash and whose daughter-in-law, Zoe, is Rubins’ most recent PA. Rubins is a family kinda guy.
