TV AD­VER­TIS­ING SPEND GROWTH SLOWS

Growth in TV ad­spend al­most ground to a halt last year, new in­dus­try fig­ures show. The to­tal UK ad mar­ket in­creased by 3.7% to £21.37bn in 2016 but the lat­est Ad­ver­tis­ing As­so­ci­a­tion/warc Ex­pen­di­ture Re­port shows that TV inched up by just 0.2% last year to £5.28bn. This was sig­nif­i­cantly down on 2015, when the TV mar­ket grew 7.3%.
