Agen­cies line up for Honda Mo­tor Europe creative brief

Honda Mo­tor Europe has opened talks with creative agen­cies about its ad­ver­tis­ing re­quire­ments.

The com­pany con­tacted agen­cies two weeks ago with a through-the-line brief to cover 22 mar­kets across Europe. It is un­der­stood that the brief does not af­fect the ac­counts cur­rently han­dled by Wieden & Kennedy London and Mc­gar­ry­bowen.

W&K cre­ated an ad in Fe­bru­ary to pro­mote the Civic fea­tur­ing Team GB climber Imo­gen Hor­rocks. The agency also works on the Jazz model.

In 2015, Mc­gar­ry­bowen cre­ated a spot for the HR-V that showed dancers in a syn­chro­nised rou­tine.

Honda ap­pointed Dig­i­taslbi as its pan-euro­pean con­tent agency of record in 2016, in­volv­ing all mod­els.

A Honda spokesman said: “We have no com­ment to make re­gard­ing any pitch process, but we look for­ward to con­tin­u­ing our long and fruit­ful re­la­tion­ship with W&K and Mc­gar­ry­bowen in 2018.”
