Reko­rderlig on hunt for creative agency

Reko­rderlig, the Swedish flavoured­cider brand, is on the hunt for an agency to han­dle its ad­ver­tis­ing ac­count.

ISBA is run­ning the pitch process. Reko­rderlig has been in talks with agen­cies about strate­gic ideas.

Saatchi & Saatchi London has held the busi­ness since 2014 and is not repitch­ing.

The agency cre­ated Reko­rderlig’s first global cam­paign fea­tur­ing two hairy Swedish fig­ure skaters. The spot, called “Sil­ver skaters”, ran on­line and in cin­e­mas.

Mol­son Coors bought the UK rights to the brand in July 2015 from Chilli Mar­ket­ing.

A Mol­son Coors spokesman said: “Mol­son Coors will not com­ment on any me­dia spec­u­la­tion but con­tin­u­ally re­views its agency part­ners to en­sure it has the best op­er­a­tors to build its brands across the globe.”

Com­ment­ing on the split, a Saatchi & Saatchi spokes­woman said the agency is “in­cred­i­bly proud” of its award-win­ning work for Reko­rderlig.

She added: “The new own­ers have now de­cided to hold a re­view for the busi­ness. Some­times it’s just time to move on.”
