-

A PIPING hot rock band sold out Campbeltown’s 17th MOK Fest main event.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers played to a soldout Victoria Hall audience in 2009, supported by Survivors’ Night headliners Hoots Heppnin, a collection of local artists who came together to form their own traditional/rock super-group.

Dervish headlined the trad concert in the Picture House, supported by Fribo, with the Friday night ceilidh featuring Fergie MacDonald’s Ceilidh Band, Hot Seats from Virginia USA, Susan Houston and Kintyre Schools Pipe Band.

The Mitchell’s Glengyle Dalriada Connections concert on Sunday afternoon featured Brian Finnegan from Flook, the Wild Sarrachs as well as the usual mix of local and visiting Pan Celtic artists.
