Kintyre sheepdog trials

Campbeltown Courier - - NEWS -

A VIDEO of one man and his dog competing at Kintyre Sheepdog Trials attracted nearly 4,000 views on Facebook.

The post referenced the Ian McDougall trophy, and Donald McDougall from Swindon wrote: ‘Ah my Uncle Ian, what a man, great dog handler, if at times a tad excitable.

‘He loved the trials as did my father Alisdair and many others. Great memories of days with Neil (Skip) Stewart and Dougie Stewart at various trial venues.’

Heather Coffield McKenzie wrote: ‘My grandfather loved these trials... our dog Bruce was the runt of the litter, and was thought not to be a good herder.

‘He ended up being one of the best herders at Curry’s Farm in Kinloch Farm. He was a great old dog and lived till he was 17 years old.’
