MOK Fest’s birthday bonanza
TWENTY-FIVE weeks ago the first MOK Fest poster was reproduced and today the series ends with the 2017 poster. MOK Fest 25 is celebrated in style with the Peatbog Faeries, Bombskare and Start Static at the Vic tomorrow night.
Last night, across town, the Young Folk paved the way for The Shee and Jim Malcolm to lift the Heritage Centre roof tomorrow.
In the same venue on Sunday, Arty McGlynn and Nollaig Casey headline the Mitchell’s Glengyle Dalriada Connections Concert with Gillian Frame, Yom Oakes and a host of local and visiting artists.
Wednesday’s Ceol Campbeltown Gaelic night featured artists including Norman MacKinnon and Sandy Brodie. Survivors Night features eight acts including Twisted Melons, Deep Joy, Wee Toon Tellers, Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, Gullion, Gilchristians, Il Brasso and Session A83.
Tomorrow, sees the launch of the CalMac Culture Festival Club in the Town Hall, which is new for the 25th year, with Carni-West as well as festival favourite Doon the Green.
