MOK Fest’s birth­day bo­nanza

TWENTY-FIVE weeks ago the first MOK Fest poster was re­pro­duced and today the se­ries ends with the 2017 poster. MOK Fest 25 is cel­e­brated in style with the Peat­bog Faeries, Bomb­skare and Start Static at the Vic to­mor­row night.

Last night, across town, the Young Folk paved the way for The Shee and Jim Malcolm to lift the Her­itage Cen­tre roof to­mor­row.

In the same venue on Sun­day, Arty McG­lynn and Nol­laig Casey head­line the Mitchell’s Glengyle Dal­ri­ada Con­nec­tions Con­cert with Gil­lian Frame, Yom Oakes and a host of lo­cal and vis­it­ing artists.

Wed­nes­day’s Ceol Camp­bel­town Gaelic night fea­tured artists in­clud­ing Norman MacKin­non and Sandy Brodie. Sur­vivors Night features eight acts in­clud­ing Twisted Mel­ons, Deep Joy, Wee Toon Tell­ers, Kin­tyre Schools Pipe Band, Gul­lion, Gilchris­tians, Il Brasso and Ses­sion A83.

To­mor­row, sees the launch of the CalMac Cul­ture Fes­ti­val Club in the Town Hall, which is new for the 25th year, with Carni-West as well as fes­ti­val favourite Doon the Green.
