Step aside tooth fairy – the garden genie has left a lovely cheque
VISITORS to An Creadach garden at Peninver have been generous to the tune of £500 with their donations over the last few months.
A cheque for the sum was recently given to Mairi Semple Cancer Relief Fund after it was ‘found’ hidden in a fairy door in the garden.
This weekend, August 25-28 the garden will open again to combine with the Artmap Argyll Open Studios’ weekend.
Garden visits, tea and shortbread will be raising money for another local charity.
Artmap, now in its 10th year, is represented in the Campbeltown area by Christine Russell, one of the 49 studios throughout Argyll, from Appin to Dunoon, which will be open to visitors over the weekend.
The Artmap guide booklet is available in the Tourist Office.
