The dealers are inviting both new and former clients to come along to meet them and cash in on their unwanted antiques and forgotten treasures.
Tim Hogarth said: “Simon and I had a great response last time we visited Scotland and have hundreds of satisfied customers. We are delighted to be returning to Argyll and we hope people will reach their cupboards and bring along some unusual and interesting items.”
Simon Schneider added: “The antiques business is very strong at the moment and we will pay top cash prices for gold, silver and quality items similar to those illustrated.”
Tim and Simon deal extensively in general antiques and cover all aspects of the antiques business and guarantee to offer the highest prices for those items they wish to purchase.
Tim Hogarth is greatly respected for his expertise and experience appraising and dealing in diamond jewellery and vintage watches and medals.
Tim Hogarth commented: “Diamond jewellery is very much in demand as are period pieces from the 1930s to 1950s and I have strong customers waiting for good examples, regardless of condition.
I am also keen to purchase vintage wrist watches, the big names, Rolex, Cartier and Omega, are all selling well and this is a great time to cash in on these and similar items.”
“The market for medals continues to be very good at the moment and some examples, especially from the First World War, are making higher prices than ever.”
Simon Schneider is highly trusted and widely acknowledged as an expert in 20th Century decorative antiques and also deals extensively in antique silver.
Simon Schneider said: “Tim and I are both keen to spend, spend, spend! The market for gold and silver is still very strong and we will be offering top prices for items even if broken. Where Tim loves his diamonds, watches and medals, I am very keen to buy quality examples from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods as well as fine period silver. The demand for silver tea sets, trays, trophies snuff boxes and similar items is very strong, particularly for the larger examples.”
“I also have strong demand for good quality ceramics. Royal Worcester, Moorcroft, Shelley and Clarice Cliff are all selling well and the interest in Chinese and oriental antiques is huge.”
The dealers are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible and will be paying top cash prices. As Simon said: “Between us, Tim and I cover most aspects of the antiques business and we hope to find some good quality examples of all the items we have mentioned.”
Tim and Simon guarantee no queues and no appointments are necessary however the dealers are happy to do a home visit if anyone is unable to come along during the day or has something too large to bring in.
