A GLASGOW construction firm has been appointed to develop the reuse and recycling hub in Bengullion Road.

In 2015 Kintyre Recycling Limited (KRL) took over the site and has recently received £68,200 from the Big Lottery Fund for further development costs.

The money will cover project management construction consultants Brown and Wallace, appointed following an advertisement on Public Contracts Scotland.

The firm will spend the next six months completing designs, surveys, reports and draft tenders for a design and build contractor.

A KRL spokesperson said: ‘By investing in sustainability KRL will be able to continue to deliver existing and new services such as furniture and further bike reuse services.

‘In addition KRL has taken over the running of the Reuse Shop at 67 Longrow.’
