Tennis club’s October ace action
WET WEATHER has dogged the season’s close at Campbeltown tennis club but not hindered builders who have installed a wheelchair ramp and handrail.
If any sunshine can be found, members plan to play the previously cancelled gents’ doubles on Sunday at noon sharp.
Later, at 2pm, there will be a final fun tournament before the club shuts. The season’s prizewinners will be presented with their trophies for a Courier photo.
It will be the final chance to ‘enjoy’ the characterful clubhouse before it is demolished and works begin to erect an improved building ready for March 2018.
