Campbeltown youth players and coaches in training

-

WITH Campbeltown Pupils Youth 2002s and 2005s having no league action in the Dunbartonshire Football Development League due to the October school break, coaches held a training game on Sunday.

And it was not just the children who were in training, Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association (CDJFA)’s coaches, new and old, attended the Scottish Football Association’s level 1.1 early touches and level 1.1 youth development activities courses on Friday and Sunday.

Football development officer Martin Rae took the courses and will return tonight (Friday) to teach the second part.

A CDJFA spokesman said: ‘Massive thanks to LiveArgyll and the SFA’s Martin Rae for delivering the course.

‘Martin’s commitment and support to football during the last six or seven years has been massive. I’m not sure if there can be a more dedicated football development officer in Scotland.

‘Martin covers a huge geographical area in Argyll and Bute – credit where credit is due!’
