Town hall furniture to be sold for common good

MEMBERS of the public have a chance to own a unique piece of Kintyre civic history.

Twenty wooden desks, costing £70 each, and 24 wood and red leather chairs, at £15 each, from Campbeltown Town Hall, will be available to purchase from Aqualibrium on Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Campbeltown Common Good Fund to be used for the benefit of the local community. Any unsold desks and chairs will then be sold at public auction.
