CRT’s new team

A SE­RIES OF changes to the se­nior ex­ec­u­tive team at the Canal & River Trust has been an­nounced, with four new di­rec­tors re­port­ing di­rectly to Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Richard Parry.

Dr So­phie Castell has been ap­pointed as CRT’s Di­rec­tor of Mar­ket­ing, Communications & Fundrais­ing and starts on 1 De­cem­ber. She has over 25 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence work­ing with com­mer­cial and char­ity or­gan­i­sa­tions in­clud­ing Coca-Cola, RNIB and Save the Chil­dren.

Ian Rogers, the Trust’s Head of Cus­tomer Ser­vices, will step up to be­come Di­rec­tor of Cus­tomer Ser­vice & Op­er­a­tions, fol­low­ing the retirement of Vince Mo­ran at the end of the year.

Head of As­set Man­age­ment & Per­for­mance Julie Shar­man and Head of As­set De­liv­ery Si­mon Bam­ford will con­tinue to de­velop the Trust’s main­te­nance and as­set im­prove­ment pro­gramme, and Ms Shar­man will also take re­spon­si­bil­ity for health and safety, but both will now re­port di­rectly to Mr Parry.
