Cropredy goes for moor space...

Canal Boat - - News -

JUST TWO YEARS after Cropredy Marina opened to boats an extension is already being planned by its owners.

Both basins of the original 249-berth marina opened in 2013 on the southern Oxford Canal are now full, and with a waiting list of potential moorers, owner Tim Langer (who also owns Crick Marina) has submitted a planning application for an extension with the capacity for a further 100 craft.

Mr Langer stressed that when developing the existing marina he had worked closely with the local community and authorities, and he would “take the same approach with the proposed extension”. If Cherwell District Council approves the plans, it is hoped to start work this coming spring for completion in autumn 2016.
