At a time of high youth un­em­ploy­ment, Bri­tish Marine has launched a cam­paign to raise the pro­file of the ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties within the marine in­dus­try. Train­ing Man­ager Amanda Simp­son hailed the “va­ri­ety of fan­tas­tic ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties” that BM wants to en­sure are high­lighted to stu­dents start­ing their work­ing life. “We want to ap­peal to the marine en­gi­neers, de­sign­ers, marine car­pen­ters, berthing masters and on-wa­ter in­struc­tors of to­mor­row to con­sider a re­ward­ing ca­reer in our in­dus­try.” A ca­reers tool­kit de­vel­oped by BM in­cludes a video aimed at 16 to 21 year olds fo­cus­ing on “Where do your skills fit in?” at
