A bit of sweet gongoozling
With a grandstand view of some comedy on the K&A, Vicky gets the kettle on and the cake out
up by the prop. Trying to remove the rope, the second lad fell in. That’s two lads soaked and muddy, looking very forlornly at their waterlogged mobile phones while the girls shrieked with laughter. Thankfully only their pride was hurt. Lucky really. It was all like slapstick, Laurel and Hardy comedy.
Lemon seed cake washed down with a pot of redbush tea made the afternoon entertainment complete and a lot of visitors jokingly placed their order to join us on the tug’s deck and agreed that we had the best spot.
This is one of our favourite cakes and stays moist in a sealed tin for about a week. The last piece is as delicious as the first.
