A bit of sweet gon­goo­zling

up by the prop. Try­ing to re­move the rope, the sec­ond lad fell in. That’s two lads soaked and muddy, look­ing very for­lornly at their wa­ter­logged mo­bile phones while the girls shrieked with laugh­ter. Thank­fully only their pride was hurt. Lucky re­ally. It was all like slap­stick, Lau­rel and Hardy com­edy.

Le­mon seed cake washed down with a pot of red­bush tea made the af­ter­noon en­ter­tain­ment com­plete and a lot of vis­i­tors jok­ingly placed their or­der to join us on the tug’s deck and agreed that we had the best spot.

This is one of our favourite cakes and stays moist in a sealed tin for about a week. The last piece is as de­li­cious as the first.
