Have house, will travel

Canal Boat - - Letters - ANDREW & LISA, via email

READING YOUR LETTERS column ( CB, June), I immediately noted the letter about continuous cruising as this is something myself and my wife are planning to do later this year.

I was dismayed to read Joe Patterson’s comments about some CCs not severing their ties to land by having a house on land – Steve Haywood’s response is spot on and indeed we are doing the same thing and renting our house out.

I have an RAF pension and the remainder of our income is coming from our rented house; without this we simply couldn’t afford to make this move.

I thought Joe’s comments were a little one-sided and he needs to remember it takes One or both? – – all sorts to live life on the cut. We’ll be on the boat PresqueLa’ and if you pass us on your travels, give us a wave.

Great magazine, especially the section from the Experts – we are educated on a monthly basis.
