Intimidation in the sky

Canal Boat - - Letters - NAME AND EMAIL

Recently we were moored on the visitors’ moorings below the second lock at Stoke Bruerne when a couple of fishermen arrived and set up opposite.

All was quiet for a couple of hours until they got bored and we heard what sounded like a lawnmower. We looked out to see a drone, operated by these ‘fishermen’ being flown above and around the boat. It was very intimidating. We moved on around the corner away from them in case of any further trouble.

It was ironic as the radio was full of a drone hitting an airplane at Heathrow Airport the day before ( thatlaterprovedtobeincorrect–Ed).

Were we unlucky or is this becoming the latest ‘nuisance’ on the canals? supplied
