THE NEXT EIGHT DAYS
When military veteran Eddie Stovas gets a call for help from old girlfriend Yvonne, he might have hesitated, but when he hears that his old army mate Mike has been attacked, he realises that his narrowboat, Bellerephon, could make an ideal hideaway. A gang of drug-dealing Afghanistan terrorists have left Mike in a bad way and killed another man. Over the next eight days, keeping one step ahead of the enemy, Eddie, Yvonne, and their newly recruited squad of helpers dodge around England’s southern canals and rivers in traditional canal boats and also a less-traditional RIB and helicopter. Lasers and machine guns are procured and put to good use. American and British authorities are both brought in to help foil the bad guys, but it is clear our hero is following his own agenda. “Why did you go to all this trouble, Eddie?” he is asked. That question may be answered as the author develops this series of e-book thrillers.
