WATERPROOF SOUNDS

Canal Boat - - What's New -

LISTENING TO THE sounds of nature is a real pleasure when out cruising, but a little music’s good too sometimes. You can, of course, simply plug in the iPod, but that’s a bit isolating so we reckon this new portable radio from Fusion is just about right for a boat (or anywhere near water).

Not only is the sound fabulous (it should be, Fusion makes all sorts of top-end marine radios) it’s also properly waterproof and it floats ( just in case…). What’s more, you won’t disturb others out on the cut because the 40W speakers direct the sound straight back to you and not everyone else.

As well as a standard radio, you can stream audio via Bluetooth from services such as Pandora or Spotify and a USB port allows you to plug in a flash drive for MP3 playback. It’s not the cheapest good radio out there, but it is totally waterproof (which counts for a lot), it looks good inside or outside, and the sound quality is excellent. A great piece of boat kit.
