And Finally...

Canal Boat - - News -

UP ON THE Caledonian, truck-driver Michael Clark set up an elaborate marriage proposal. He faked-up a competition leaflet offering a prize to the first person to climb the tower at Urquart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness every Monday, and put it in the information pack on the boat he and his girlfriend had hired. She found it, and off they went up the tower. But he’d arranged it all with the castle staff, a piper was playing, the ring was waiting – and he popped the question. And on the way back, they were cheered by the lock-keepers who’d somehow found out. And his new fiancée’s name? Vanessa. Nessie for short.
