Did someone say more boat shows?

Canal Boat - - News -

YOU MAY BE too late for Crick Boat Show but there are other shows in the north, the south-west, the south-east and the Midlands with plenty of interest to the inland boater.

First is London-on-Water, taking place in St Katherine’s Dock just next to Tower Bridge on 8-11 June.

Next comes the Northern Boat Show, which links up with the well-established Mersey River Festival in Liverpool on 23-25 June. Canal boat-builders Aintree Boats, Collingwood Boat Builders and Viking Canal Boats will be there, with wide and narrowbeam craft. New for this year on 21-23 July is the Western Boat Show, organised in conjunction with the Bristol Harbour Festival.

Finally, for those interested in shared ownership, the annual National Boat Share Show at Braunston has already taken place (and featured 15 shared boats including a widebeam representing four shared ownership companies and an independent syndicate, with 28 shares sold at the event), but there’s still the Autumn Boat Share Show on 9-10 September at Overwater Marina on the Shropshire Union.
