Canal Boat - - News -

A project to improve the approach to the Lancaster Canal’s Glasson Dock has been completed. The Dock is situated at the end of a branch that provided the canal’s only link to the sea until the Ribble Link was built. There is still a small port, but the site is now an Ancient Monument and the inner basin houses a marina. The £25,000 project included new shrubs, trees, a grassed area and benches to replace overgrown vegetation and broken paving.
